Adam Farrell Supermarket

Adam Farrell’s Supermarket themed project showcased a range of different accessories from tote bags to bonnet hats. I shot this project on 35mm, Portra 160 film in the Cash and Carry on Chancery Street in Dublin, just before it closed down. The location was ideal for the shoot. It had the look of a rundown supermarket; the tiles were dusty and the shelves were stacked with products with punchy graphics.

I used a flash head with a sheet of diffusion. This was my first time using an external flash other than a hot shoe flash. I feel this helped to make model Niamh George stand out from the sometimes busy backgrounds of the location.
