Ellie Mortimer’s ‘The Symposium’ collection explores the idea of love in its highest from, as connectivity and divine androgyny.

Ellie studied a variety of clothing a baby sling, a parachute and a pinafore. These garments of connectivity encouraged her to interpret thoughts of love and human interaction through the medium of fabric, silhouette and pattern.

This project was shot on Portra 400 at Ardgillan Castle in Balbriggan. Ellie paid a small donation which granted us full access to the beautiful grounds. I mainly used the natural afternoon light and had soft box studio lamp and reflector for highlighting details.

Ellie’s project was shortlisted for The Global Design Graduate Show, run by Artsthread in collaboration with Gucci and was featured in Stellar Magazine with these photos.
