To My Sugar Plum (2023)
Niamh Cowley’s androgynous fashion collection pays homage to the childhood summer holidays spent with her grandmother. The collection is a nostalgic reflection of the times they spent together in her mobile home in Kilmuckridge, County Wexford.
It was only natural to decide to shoot in the place where this collection was based off of. I shot on 35mm and 120mm using Portra 400 and a warming filter. We spent a day photographing at all the childhood spots Niamh held close to her heart. I used a reflector to bounce the sunlight during the day and at night I used the practical lights as well as a tungsten gel over a soft box studio lamp to act as a fill light.
