I met Alan Monahan through a friend. He was moving to Paris and wanted to get a job at an agency when he got there. He needed headshots and I was eager to photograph him. We cycled around Dublin together, stopping off at various rough urban landscapes that contradicted his soft look.
I shot these photos on Lomo 400 35mm film and took some medium format photographs on Ilford HP5. It was my first time developing colour film at home using a Cinestill C41 kit. I scanned the negatives myself too. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process of this shoot.
