This is my final year project that was showcased at the Graduate exhibition in NCAD. These short snippets of looping videos are observations of objects and moments that caught my attention. I have been practising this visual note-taking in the form of photography for years now, and I add to my iPhone albums every day. From familiar objects to simple moments, my urge to document these thought-provoking, weird and witty scenarios has led me to further question what it is that I see in them.

I have selected photos from my archives, and through animation and video editing, I have given more value to sightings that might be deemed as unremarkable in passing. By sharing these photographs and animations, I aim to put a fresh, imaginative perspective on the ordinary.

I want the viewer to gain insight into my mind’s eye and to feel that same internal smirk I get when I see things throughout the day. Each looping video was displayed on a map with each point showing where I had found/documented each object. I had the map on an iPad which was mounted to a home-made phone booth I made with my dad.

PLEASE ALLOW A FEW SECONDS FOR THE VIDEO TO PLAY
