This project was the first music video I shot for artist Taylor Byrne’s single ‘Alexandra’ in summer 2022. It tells the story of Taylor consoling his friend with a day out to distract her from thoughts of a recent breakup. Taking inspiration from Erik Wilson’s cinematography from the film ‘Submarine’, I shot the video in one day in various locations around Dublin and Howth.

A lot of the actions were loosely scripted but mainly improvised by Taylor and Niamh Cowley. I shot digitally with a DSLR to capture their day out as well as handing them my Handycam to shoot their own handheld footage to add a more personal touch to the video.
